Liverpool are preparing a €100M bid for Newcastle’s star player to replace Darwin Nunez in a major summer transfer.

Liverpool appear poised for a transformative summer transfer window, with uncertainty looming over the futures of several key players.

Significant changes are expected in the attacking department. Diogo Jota and Darwin Núñez are reportedly on the chopping block, while Luis Díaz is drawing strong interest from Barcelona—rumors suggest the Colombian winger might be open to the move.

However, the most impactful potential exit is Mohamed Salah. With his contract set to expire at the season’s end, speculation continues despite Egyptian media claiming renewal talks are underway. No substantial progress has been confirmed.

Salah remains the heart of Liverpool’s attack, having produced an astounding 243 goals and 110 assists across 393 appearances. This season alone, he’s played a crucial role in their title pursuit, racking up 27 goals and 17 assists in just 30 games. His departure would leave a massive void.

On the brighter side, Liverpool are reportedly lining up a major move for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak. The Swedish international, also on the radar of Arsenal, Manchester United, and Barcelona, is said to favor a club offering Champions League football.

Liverpool are believed to be leading the race, with a reported €135 million (£114 million) bid in the works. Although Newcastle would prefer to keep him, they recognize the seriousness of Liverpool’s pursuit.

Isak’s form this season has been exceptional. He played a key role in Newcastle’s League Cup triumph and top-four push, scoring 20 goals and providing five assists in 26 Premier League matches. Across all competitions, he’s tallied 24 goals and 5 assists.

Signing Isak would be a major statement for Liverpool. Still, if they are to maintain their elite status and compete for top honors, retaining Salah remains crucial—regardless of any incoming talent.
