After the victory over Getafe… a heavy blow strikes Real Madrid, shaking the Bernabéu ahead of the highly anticipated Clásico in the Copa del Rey final!

Real Madrid Hit by Injury Setbacks Ahead of Copa del Rey Final Clash with Barcelona

Just days before their high-stakes Copa del Rey final against Barcelona at La Cartuja Stadium in Seville, Real Madrid has been dealt a major setback. Head coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that two key players will miss the highly anticipated El Clásico showdown.

Following a hard-fought 1–0 win over Getafe that pushed Madrid’s points total to 72 and solidified their second-place spot in La Liga, the team’s celebrations were short-lived. Spanish outlet Defensa Central reported that midfielder Eduardo Camavinga sustained a groin tear late in the match, ruling him out of the final.

Camavinga was injured in the 85th minute but attempted to stay on the field as all substitutions had been used. However, he collapsed shortly after and had to be taken off, sparking visible frustration from Ancelotti, who reportedly criticized the medical staff for not acting sooner.

The report also confirmed that defender David Alaba, who suffered a muscle injury in the same match, will also miss the final—further complicating Ancelotti’s squad selection.

These injuries strike a heavy blow to Real Madrid’s tactical setup and depth ahead of their title clash with arch-rivals Barcelona.
