Something I’m looking at…” – Liverpool title winner strongly hints at possible summer exit

Kelleher drops fresh hint about Liverpool exit amid title celebrations

Amid the joyous Premier League title celebrations at Anfield, one Liverpool player subtly turned attention toward his uncertain future.

Caoimhin Kelleher, who has long served as Alisson Becker’s understudy, once again hinted at a potential summer departure. Speaking to Optus Sport after the 1–1 draw with Crystal Palace—likely Trent Alexander-Arnold’s farewell appearance—Kelleher made his intentions clear.

“I’ve said it before as well that I feel like I’m good enough to be a number one and I feel like I’m good enough to play week in week out, and that’s what I’m looking to do,” the 26-year-old said. “This season I was lucky enough to play a lot of games but it’s definitely something I’m looking at.”

With journalist David Ornstein recently naming Kelleher among seven potential summer exits, the Irish keeper’s latest comments strongly suggest he’s eyeing a move in pursuit of regular first-team football.

Liverpool poised for sizeable profit if Kelleher departs this summer

All signs point to this being Caoimhin Kelleher’s final season at Anfield, especially following last August’s confirmation that Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili would be joining Liverpool this summer.

Even before this campaign, Kelleher had shown he could perform at both Premier League and Champions League level. Over 20 appearances this season, he further proved his ability as a reliable, high-level shot-stopper.

The 26-year-old is unlikely to be short on suitors if he moves on, with Newcastle, Leeds United, and Tottenham Hotspur all reportedly monitoring his situation.

If Liverpool do decide to cash in, they should comfortably exceed the low £12m valuation recently suggested by former Aston Villa scout Bryan King. Given Kelleher’s age, experience, and quality, a fee closer to £30m would be a far more realistic expectation in today’s market.

Liverpool’s track record under FSG—securing strong fees for the likes of Fabio Carvalho and Sepp van den Berg—suggests they won’t settle for anything less than top value for the Irish international.
