Jadon Sancho’s latest social media post has got Manchester United fans talking.
With only a few days remaining in the summer transfer window, there is growing speculation that Englishman Jadon Sancho might leave Old Trafford.
Although he participated in Manchester United’s pre-season tour of the United States, Sancho was excluded from the squad for recent Premier League games against Fulham and Brighton & Hove Albion.
Reports surfaced on Wednesday afternoon suggesting that Sancho could be on his way out of United. RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins announced on social media: “BREAKING: Agreement between Manchester United and Juventus for Jadon Sancho. Loan + obligation to buy. The player is interested in the move.”
In response, Sancho shared a video on his Instagram story of himself practicing shooting with United teammates Bruno Fernandes and Antony. The clip showed Sancho controlling the ball and scoring with a powerful shot into the top corner.
Fans reacted on social media with mixed responses. One said: “Add another £5m onto his fee.” Another questioned, “Is he trying to show he’s not leaving?” A third commented, “Sancho is staying put.” Others speculated, “Getting ready for a Juventus loan move,” and “Juve and Chelsea should pay up.” One fan wondered, “Why post this now? Isn’t he on his way out?”
Regarding Sancho’s absence from the Brighton match, United manager Erik ten Hag explained, “He’s here at the stadium, but I had to make choices. We need a full squad, and he has to compete for his position.” He added, “We need two players for every position because it’s a long season.”
Manchester United will face Liverpool at Old Trafford in their next Premier League match on Sunday.
