Liverpoolโs โฌ135M Offer for Florian Wirtz Rejected by Bayer Leverkusen โ Talks Ongoing
German outlet Bild reports that Bayer Leverkusen have turned down Liverpoolโs โฌ135 million bid for star midfielder Florian Wirtz.
The Premier League giants are reportedly aiming to reduce the total cost of the transfer to โฌ135 million, while Leverkusen remain firm on their โฌ150 million valuation.
It is currently uncertain whether Liverpool plans to close the gap through a higher fixed fee or via performance-based add-ons. Nevertheless, Leverkusen are said to remain confident that the deal will eventually go through.
According to the report, Liverpool have already secured approval from their ownership group to pursue the โฌ150 million deal. However, including a player as part of the transaction is not being considered at this stage of negotiations.
