Federico Chiesaâs future at Liverpool remains uncertain after a frustrating season in which he started only two games across the Premier League and Champions Leagueâneither of which carried real significance.
According to Calcio Mercato, BeĹiktaĹ manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is considering Chiesa as a potential signing. The Turkish club has reportedly made initial inquiries to gauge whether Liverpool would be open to selling the Italian winger, who is also attracting interest from Napoli.
Given Chiesaâs limited impact this season, it appears likely Liverpool would entertain offers. The 26-year-old Italy international had to wait until May for his first Premier League startâagainst Chelsea in a match played after the title race had concluded. His only Champions League start came against PSV Eindhoven after qualification had already been secured.
BeĹiktaĹ are preparing for a major squad rebuild under Solskjaer, who is entering his first full season at the helm following a disappointing campaign that saw the club finish 33 points behind SĂźper Lig champions Galatasaray.
Chiesa, who joined Liverpool from Juventus last summer, could seek a return to Serie A in pursuit of more consistent playing time. Napoli has already made contact with Liverpool, and a move back to Italy is firmly on the table.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano explained the situation:
âFederico Chiesa wants to leave Liverpool with a heavy heart. Heâs happy at the club in terms of relationshipsâwith the coach and teammatesâbut he needs more regular football.â
