Bradley Barcola Unlikely to Join Liverpool as PSG Deem Winger ‘Untouchable’
Liverpool’s hopes of signing French winger Bradley Barcola have been all but shut down, with Paris Saint-Germain making it clear they have no plans to sell the highly rated youngster.
Despite being left out of the starting XI for PSG’s dominant 5-0 Champions League final win over Inter Milan, Barcola remains firmly in Luis Enrique’s long-term plans. According to Foot Mercato, the January arrival of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has not changed PSG’s stance—Barcola is considered “untransferable.”
Liverpool and Bayern Munich were both linked with the 21-year-old following the Champions League final, but PSG’s firm position effectively rules out any move this summer.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are preparing for changes up front, with Darwin Núñez expected to depart just three years after his big-money arrival from Benfica. The Uruguayan forward endured a challenging debut campaign under new manager Arne Slot, prompting speculation about his future.
The Reds continue to pursue Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz, though the German playmaker is not seen as a direct replacement for Núñez. Should Wirtz arrive, it could signal a tactical shift under Slot, potentially involving the use of a false nine or a more fluid front line.
