Ter Stegen announces his departure from Barcelona and reaches an agreement with his new club, which will come as a shock to the Catalan fans!

Ter Stegen Reportedly Set to Leave Barcelona for Galatasaray Amid Club Reshuffle

Barcelona is gearing up for a new season marked by significant technical and administrative shifts, with German coach Hansi Flick remaining in charge. The club’s leadership is clearly pushing for a major overhaul of the starting lineup, especially in areas that were problematic last season.

According to reports from Turkish media, veteran goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen appears ready to end his long tenure at Barcelona and is set to move on this summer.

Turkish outlet Fanatik claims that Ter Stegen has reached a personal agreement with Galatasaray and is prepared to join the Turkish giants. Although the 33-year-old has previously expressed a strong desire to stay at the Camp Nou, recent developments — including the arrival of Juan Garcia from Espanyol and the extension of Wojciech Szczęsny’s contract — may have influenced his decision to leave.

The report adds that a full agreement is in place between Ter Stegen and Galatasaray, with only the deal between the clubs pending. Ter Stegen is currently contracted to Barcelona until 2028.

Galatasaray is reportedly seeking to sign the German goalkeeper on a free transfer by negotiating a contract termination with Barcelona, who may be willing to release him in order to relieve the financial burden of his high wages.

This potential move comes shortly after Galatasaray demonstrated their financial strength by signing another high-profile German, Leroy Sané, from Bayern Munich.
