In total, David has racked up 77 goals and 25 assists in 136 matches for Lille, demonstrating his lethal finishing, creativity, and exceptional work rate.
With his contract in France expired and the player seeking a new challenge, top clubs across Europe have taken notice. Barcelona initially showed interest, while Napoli and Juventus have already advanced talks. However, Juventus’ offer remains unsigned as David weighs up his options, with Corriere dello Sport reporting that he will wait until mid-July to decide.
That delay provides a crucial six-week window for United to jump back into the race. Given the scarcity of affordable top strikers — with players like Victor Osimhen, Viktor Gyökeres, Benjamin Šeško, and Hugo Ekitike likely to cost more than £60 million — David could represent a smart and value-for-money target as United look to bolster their attacking ranks.
