DAZN forced to apologise after Cole Palmer drops explicit rant during interview after Club World Cup win

DAZN were forced to issue an apology live on air after what Cole Palmer said in his post-match interview against PSG.

Cole Palmer once again proved to be the key figure for Chelsea, playing a pivotal role in guiding Enzo Maresca’s team to Club World Cup triumph in New York.

Facing the Champions League titleholders, Chelsea entered the game as clear underdogs. However, Palmer’s two first-half goals gave the Premier League side a commanding lead.

He then turned playmaker, delivering a brilliant through ball to recent signing Joao Pedro, who calmly chipped it in — marking his third goal in just two appearances.

Palmer’s outstanding display earned him the tournament’s best player award, which was presented by U.S. President Donald Trump.

After the final whistle, the 23-year-old headed straight to a post-match interview with DAZN, where his emotional reaction included some explicit language.

In his post-match interview, Cole Palmer didn’t hold back, addressing critics who had dismissed Chelsea throughout the season. “Everyone’s been talking a lot of sh*t about us all year,” he said, prompting DAZN to quickly cut the feed and issue an apology shortly after for the language.

Palmer continued: “It feels amazing—especially because no one believed in us before the game. We knew that. To go out there and fight like we did—it means a lot.

“I enjoy finals. It’s happened again.

“The manager came up with a great plan. He knew exactly where the spaces would be. He gave me the freedom to operate, and I just had to deliver by scoring goals.

“He’s building something important—something special.”

Following their Club World Cup win, Palmer and the rest of the Chelsea squad will finally get some time off, even as most Premier League teams have already kicked off their pre-season preparations ahead of the August 15th league opener.
