According to the Catalan newspaper “Sport,” Flick is mirroring his successful start with Bayern Munich at Barcelona, having also won his first four matches with Bayern in the 2019-2020 season. However, Flick hopes to avoid a repeat of his Bayern experience, where a strong start was followed by a downturn after losses in the fifth and sixth matches against Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Mönchengladbach, respectively.
Barcelona’s promising start this season includes a recent 7-0 victory over Valladolid. They will next face Girona on September 15 and Villarreal on September 22.
