Marcus Rashford has made an instant impression on the Barcelona squad following his first training session.

The Catalan giants will fully cover the star forward’s wages after he accepted a pay cut, and they hold a £30 million option to make the move permanent in 2026.

Rashford has already begun training with his new teammates, but his debut will be delayed after Barcelona’s scheduled pre-season clash with Vissel Kobe on Sunday was cancelled due to a “serious breach of contract.”

The 27-year-old is now targeting his first appearance for the club next Thursday in a friendly against FC Seoul.

Despite the wait, Rashford has already made a strong impression in training, earning praise from the coaching staff and turning heads among his new teammates.

According to journalist Alex Pintanel, Marcus Rashford has already made a strong impression at Barcelona, with teammates reportedly calling him a “beast” after his first training session.

Posting on X, Pintanel wrote: “In the locker room, they say he’s like a ‘beast’.”

Rashford, who spent the latter half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, showed flashes of his talent—most notably with a standout performance against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. Now, he’s hoping to rediscover his best form in Spain.

Speaking to Barça’s YouTube channel, the England international shared his excitement:

“I’m very excited. This is a club where dreams come true and where big trophies are won.
What the club represents means a lot to me. It feels like home already. A big reason I chose to come here is because it’s a family environment and a great place for top players to show what they can do.”

Rashford added:
