BREAKING NEWS Second Bid Accepted,Alexander Isak to Liverpool, here we go! Verbal agreement in place between all parties involved. Newcastle accepts the last bid

Liverpool Step Up Pursuit of Alexander Isak Amid Record-Breaking Transfer Drama

Liverpool are refusing to give up in their chase for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak, despite having a £110 million bid rejected earlier this summer. Reports suggest the Reds have now approved a club-record offer worth up to £130 million, which would also set a new British transfer record.

Newcastle have been adamant that their star forward is not for sale, but the saga is far from over. Isak has reportedly grown frustrated, training separately from the squad and even declining to feature in the Magpies’ Premier League opener against Aston Villa — a decision that could see him fined.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Isak turned down a lucrative new deal at St James’ Park, which included a release clause set for 2026, because he is determined to join Liverpool. Romano added that Liverpool have not approached any other strikers, underlining their commitment to making Isak their marquee signing.

Liverpool’s pursuit doesn’t end there — they are also lining up a £35 million move for Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi. A double swoop for Isak and Guehi would push their total summer spending to an eye-watering £466 million.

Meanwhile, speculation continues to swirl with Real Madrid and potentially even Tottenham Hotspur entering the picture. Spurs could inadvertently aid Madrid’s chances by activating Takefusa Kubo’s £52 million release clause, which would funnel money back to the Spanish giants — possibly fueling their own pursuit of Isak.

Liverpool face Newcastle in their next Premier League clash at St James’ Park, setting the stage for a fiery showdown both on and off the pitch as the transfer drama unfoling
