Liverpool ready to ‘offer’ 25/26 goalscorer to Newcastle as well as ‘huge fee for Isak’

Recent reports suggest that Liverpool are exploring a potential swap deal involving Federico Chiesa and Newcastle’s Alexander Isak. Multiple sources confirm that the Reds have discussed using Chiesa—who scored in their 4-2 opening-day win over Bournemouth—as part of an offer to secure Isak.

The Swedish striker has been seen training alone at Newcastle’s facilities and has openly admitted he “can’t continue” at the club. While Newcastle are holding firm on a £150 million valuation, speculation indicates that a package worth around £130 million, possibly including Chiesa, could tempt them.

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s summer signings have been confirmed, with seven new arrivals—among them Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez, and Jeremie Frimpong—already handed squad numbers and making positive debuts in a friendly against Athletic Bilbao.

However, the situation is still developing. Chiesa is not actively pushing for a move, so it remains uncertain whether Liverpool will be able to finalize the deal.
