Isak Reacts to Liverpool’s Late Win, Eyes Debut After £125m Move

Alexander Isak may not have featured in Liverpool’s narrow 1-0 win over Burnley, but the club’s record signing was clearly tuned in. The Swedish striker, left out of the squad due to fitness concerns, shared the full-time score on his Instagram story as Mohamed Salah’s 95th-minute penalty sealed victory at Anfield.

Isak, who arrived from Newcastle in a £125 million deal this summer, is now edging closer to his long-awaited debut. Head coach Arne Slot confirmed after the match that the 24-year-old is nearly ready to return to action.

“He can play for 45 minutes,” Slot revealed, suggesting that Isak could feature in midweek when Liverpool begin their Champions League campaign, or next weekend in the Premier League.

For Liverpool fans, anticipation is building. After watching their new No. 9 cheer from the sidelines, the Kop could soon see him step onto the pitch in red for the very first time.
