Man Utd Fans Come Up With Brutal Chant for Garnacho on Old Trafford Return

Manchester United fans delivered a hostile reception for Alejandro Garnacho as he returned to Old Trafford for the first time since leaving for Chelsea in a £40 million summer transfer.

The 21-year-old winger, who came through United’s academy before making the switch to Stamford Bridge, started the match on the bench but still found himself at the center of attention. As he warmed up and trained before kick-off, home supporters aimed chants at their former player — adapting the same ruthless song once directed at Carlos Tevez when he joined Manchester City in 2009.

United fans sang: “Who’s that twat from Argentina? Who’s that money-grabbing w**re? Garnacho is his name and he hasn’t got a brain and he won’t be winning trophies anymore!”

The echoes of that old Tevez chant highlighted the bitterness felt by sections of the United faithful toward Garnacho’s decision to leave the club where he made his name.

Despite his departure, Garnacho’s legacy at Old Trafford remains notable. He made 144 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 26 goals and helping the team win both the FA Cup and Carabao Cup. However, his relationship with the fanbase has clearly soured, and his first return in Chelsea colors showed just how unforgiving Old Trafford can be to those seen as turning their backs on the club.
