Arsenal and Liverpool Told to Stump Up £100 Million for Antoine Semenyo Transfer
Both Arsenal and Liverpool have reportedly been informed that they will need to pay £100 million if they want to sign Antoine Semenyo, following the Bournemouth forward’s electric start to the Premier League season.
According to TalkSport, Bournemouth rate the 25-year-old at well over £75 million, after his blistering early-season form that has seen him score six goals and register three assists — second only to Erling Haaland in the league’s scoring charts.
Liverpool’s sporting director Richard Hughes, who originally signed Semenyo from Bristol City for just £10.5 million, is said to be a huge admirer and could lead the charge for his signature next summer.
Semenyo’s Value Skyrockets After Sensational Start
The Ghanaian international has been one of the standout performers in the Premier League this season, carrying over his momentum from last year but taking his game to another level. His dynamic pace, direct dribbling, and sharp finishing have made him one of the division’s most in-demand forwards.
Reports from CaughtOffside claim Bournemouth have made it clear to both Arsenal and Liverpool that they won’t entertain any offers below £100 million, a fee that would smash the club’s transfer record if completed in 2026.
Arsenal Unlikely to Meet Asking Price
While Arsenal are known to be scouting wide attacking options, Semenyo may not fit perfectly into their plans. Despite his ability to play on either flank, the Gunners already boast Bukayo Saka on the right, with emerging talents Ethan Nwaneri and Max Dowman also waiting in the wings.
Given their current depth and long-term strategy focused on youth development, it’s considered unlikely that Arsenal will match Bournemouth’s valuation.
Liverpool Could Move for Salah Successor
Liverpool, however, may view Semenyo differently. With Mohamed Salah nearing the twilight of his career and showing signs of decline, Semenyo could be seen as a ready-made successor. His strength, work rate, and Premier League experience make him an attractive target for the Reds.
Liverpool have already demonstrated their willingness to invest heavily under Arne Slot, and given Semenyo’s upward trajectory, a big-money move could be on the table next summer. Personal terms are not expected to be a major issue, as a switch to Anfield would represent a significant step forward in Semenyo’s career.
A Hot Prospect for 2026
As Semenyo continues to impress, the question remains how long he can maintain his remarkable form. Regardless, the Bournemouth star is quickly becoming one of the hottest properties in English football, with top clubs ready to battle it out for his services in the coming transfer windows.
