Real Madrid Injury Update: Seven Players Sidelined and Their Expected Return Dates
Real Madrid may have reclaimed the La Liga top spot following a 3–1 victory over Villarreal, but Xabi Alonso is still dealing with a lengthy injury list that’s testing the depth of his squad. With several key fixtures on the horizon, the manager faces tough selection challenges as he looks to maintain momentum.
Below is the latest on the seven injured players and when they are expected to return:

🩺 Expected return: vs Getafe — October 19
2. Franco Mastantuono
The young Argentine suffered a minor muscle strain while representing Argentina against Venezuela. His recovery is being monitored daily, and although he’s progressing well, his participation in the next league match remains uncertain.

3. Trent Alexander-Arnold
The English full-back has been sidelined since September with a hamstring injury but is now entering the final stage of rehabilitation. He is expected to rejoin full training after the international break.

Carvajal sustained a knock during the Madrid derby defeat to Atlético. His recovery is on track, and the club is aiming to have him ready for one of the season’s marquee fixtures.

6. Ferland Mendy
Mendy has yet to feature this season under Xabi Alonso due to ongoing fitness problems. Although he’s nearing full fitness, no official return date has been confirmed.
