Report: Liverpool could land “one of the Premier League’s most in-form players” without holding talks with his club

Liverpool Eye Bournemouth Star Antoine Semenyo as Potential Target

Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo has reportedly attracted growing attention from several top clubs, with his impressive early-season form placing him firmly on the transfer radar.

The 25-year-old Ghanaian international has been in scintillating form, contributing nine goals and assists in just seven Premier League appearances, establishing himself as one of the league’s standout performers so far this campaign.

According to Football Insider, Liverpool are among the clubs closely monitoring his situation. The report claims that Semenyo’s current contract includes a release clause, potentially allowing interested sides to secure his services for a fixed fee — bypassing lengthy negotiations with Bournemouth.

Journalist Pete O’Rourke explained:

“It doesn’t change things drastically, but clubs are aware there’s a release clause — a set figure that, if met, allows them to move directly for Semenyo without negotiating with Bournemouth.”

This clause could prompt Liverpool to act in the coming transfer window, especially as manager Arne Slot seeks additional attacking options. The Reds have yet to fully replace Luis Díaz’s creativity and directness, and Semenyo’s pace, power, and dribbling ability could provide a dynamic alternative — potentially offering an upgrade over Cody Gakpo in certain tactical setups.

For Semenyo, the prospect of joining the Premier League champions would mark a major step forward in his career, giving him the chance to compete for top honours and develop under a title-challenging side surrounded by world-class talent.

However, competition for his signature is expected to be fierce. With multiple clubs reportedly interested, Liverpool may need to move quickly if they intend to win the race for the in-form forward.
