Andy Robertson Weighs Liverpool Future Amid Growing Celtic Speculation

According to Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Scotland captain Andy Robertson is thoughtfully considering his next steps as the 2025–26 season approaches its conclusion.

Sources familiar with the matter indicate that a January departure from Liverpool is improbable, with the defender remaining patient amid ongoing contract negotiations. Although a return to his childhood club Celtic appears unlikely next summer, the possibility of a future move hasn’t been dismissed entirely.

The podcast stated:

“Robertson has been a lifelong Celtic supporter and came through their youth system before moving on to build his career and become Scotland’s captain. While Celtic would undoubtedly be eager to bring him back, such a move doesn’t appear to be on his immediate agenda.”

At the same time, Milos Kerkez’s inconsistent performances since joining from Bournemouth could impact Liverpool’s stance. Former Manchester United scout Mick Brown suggested that manager Arne Slot may be troubled by the Hungarian’s lack of form.

Should Kerkez fail to progress, Liverpool might opt to retain Robertson and speed up contract negotiations to ensure they don’t lose their seasoned left-back
