Cesc Fabregas didn’t hesitate when naming two ‘special’ teammates who he felt unbeatable playing alongside

Cesc Fabregas has revealed the two teammates he felt ‘unbeatable’ with when stepping out onto the pitch during his career.

Cesc Fabregas, now 37 and managing Serie A club Como after retiring as a player in 2023, recently reflected on his illustrious career. The former Spain international, who played for top clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, and Barcelona, shared his thoughts on the teammates he felt most formidable alongside.

In an interview on *The Rest Is Football Podcast*, Fabregas identified Thierry Henry and Lionel Messi as the two players he felt strongest with on the pitch. He described Henry as someone who could turn a game around, even if things weren’t going well for the team.

Fabregas recounted how, during his later career, he never felt any game was easy. However, playing with Messi gave him confidence that something special might happen, and with Henry, he had an almost premonitory sense of victory. He recalled a specific instance before a game against Everton at Highbury, where he felt an unwavering certainty of winning, a feeling he only experienced with Henry and Messi.

Cesc Fabregas, who has achieved numerous honors at both the club and international levels, is frequently praised by former players and pundits for his exceptional passing ability. He began his professional career with Arsenal in 2003, though he only secured an FA Cup during his tenure with the Gunners.

In 2014, Fabregas made headlines when he transferred to Chelsea, a move that stirred controversy due to the rivalry between the clubs. At Chelsea, the 37-year-old won the Premier League twice, in the 2014/15 and 2016/17 seasons, marking his first league titles.
