Jurgen Klopp could make shock Liverpool comeback as Arne Slot faces mounting pressure

Liverpool are reportedly weighing up the possibility of bringing Jurgen Klopp back as head coach amid growing concerns over Arne Slot’s future.

The Reds’ 3-2 loss to Brentford on Saturday marked their fourth straight Premier League defeat, leaving them in sixth place — seven points adrift of leaders Arsenal.

Although Slot still has the backing of the club’s hierarchy, he is under increasing pressure to turn things around after a record-breaking summer in which Liverpool spent €482.9 million on new signings, including Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong, and Giovanni Leoni.

According to reports from the X account IndyKaila, Liverpool officials are “concerned,” with suggestions that Klopp would be open to a dramatic return if approached. The post claimed:

Despite a modest first transfer window in which Liverpool spent just €42 million, Slot exceeded expectations by leading the Reds to only their second-ever Premier League title in his debut season. However, a poor run of form this term has raised doubts, and if results don’t improve quickly, Liverpool may consider reuniting with their legendary former boss.
