Bookies Drastically Cut Odds on Zinedine Zidane Becoming Liverpool’s Next Manager to Replace Arne Slot

Zinedine Zidane, who has been out of management since leaving Real Madrid for a second time in 2021, is reportedly among the leading candidates to succeed Arne Slot at Liverpool, according to bookmakers.

The Reds are going through a difficult period, losing five of their last six matches in all competitions — their worst streak since Slot took charge last summer. Their most recent setback, a 3–2 defeat to Brentford on Saturday, has left them in seventh place in the Premier League.

Despite the poor run, there’s no sense of panic at Anfield just yet. Liverpool were Premier League champions last season and began this campaign strongly, winning their first five league games before their recent decline.

Since Fenway Sports Group took over the club in 2010, they have only parted ways with three managers — Roy Hodgson, Kenny Dalglish, and Brendan Rodgers — though recent results have started to put pressure on Slot from parts of the fanbase.
