Hansi Flick settles on Barcelona’s first deal in the summer of 2025

Spanish press reports have indicated that Barcelona, under the leadership of Joan Laporta, is strategizing on the acquisitions needed for the summer transfer window of 2025. Notably, Barcelona is currently leading La Liga after a stellar start to the season, having won their first four matches, which has greatly excited the club’s supporters.

According to the Spanish newspaper “Sport,” Barcelona has identified the signing of a right-back as a key objective for the upcoming transfer period. The report suggests that Barcelona is keen on re-signing Oscar Mingueza, a former player, and is also targeting Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich to bolster this position.

The newspaper further noted that Joshua Kimmich’s contract with Bayern Munich is set to expire at the end of this season. Meanwhile, Barcelona holds a 50% share of Oscar Mingueza’s rights, who currently plays for Celta Vigo. Barcelona has the option to re-purchase Mingueza, who is 25 years old, during the duration of his contract with Celta Vigo for a fee of 9 million euros.
