MOTIONAL MOMENT: The last time He went on injury like this,it took a couple of months before He returned, now He’s out injured again because of just friendly match”, Ruben Amorim in tears as another key Man United player sustained ACL injury during international duty yesterday

EMOTIONAL SCENE: “The last time he suffered an injury like this, he was out for months. Now he’s sidelined again—this time because of a friendly match.”
Those were the sentiments surrounding the latest setback, as worries mounted after another key Manchester United player reportedly suffered a serious injury during international duty.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have received an encouraging update regarding another young star, according to journalist Samuel Luckhurst.

Luckhurst reported on X that the club expects Kobbie Mainoo to be available for the clash against Everton once the November international break concludes.

Mainoo missed the 2–2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur after picking up a minor knock during training. His absence allowed academy standout Jack Fletcher to take his place in the matchday squad.

Mainoo was not selected for the current England squad, with manager Thomas Tuchel choosing only players consistently starting for their clubs. The 20-year-old has yet to start a Premier League fixture this season, sparking speculation about his long-term role at Old Trafford.

The academy graduate even submitted a loan request earlier in the summer.
Reports suggest he might pursue a six-month loan in January to improve his chances of making the World Cup squad.

Napoli and West Ham United are among the clubs strongly linked with the midfielder, and more European teams may enter the race if United allow him to leave temporarily.

Head coach Ruben Amorim remains firm: Mainoo must earn his place in the lineup, especially competing with captain Bruno Fernandes. Amorim reportedly does not yet view him as the ideal No. 6, citing concerns over positional discipline.

Mainoo is widely seen as a special talent, and losing him would be a significant blow for United’s future.

Now it falls on Amorim to find the right balance—keeping Mainoo engaged, protecting his development, and ensuring the club doesn’t risk losing one of its brightest prospect.
