🔵 Chelsea have tabled an opening offer of €10 million for Cruzeiro’s 17-year-old wonderkid Felipe Morais, who has a €100 million release clause in his contract.  Chelsea Launch Bid for Cruzeiro’s Teenage Prodigy Felipe Morais 🔵🇧🇷

Chelsea have made the first move in the race for Cruzeiro’s 17-year-old sensation Felipe Morais, submitting an opening bid of €10 million for the highly rated youngster.

Despite Morais having a staggering €100 million release clause in his contract, Cruzeiro are well aware that no club is likely to trigger such a fee for a player who has yet to make a senior appearance. Still, Chelsea’s initial offer falls well short of their expectations.

The Brazilian club believe the teenager is one of the brightest prospects in their academy and will demand a significantly higher sum before agreeing to let him go. For Chelsea, who continue their hunt for the world’s top young talents, securing Morais may require a much more substantial financial push.

Is this just the start of another fierce Premier League–vs–Brazil wonderkid saga? Only time will tell — but Chelsea have already fired the first shot.
