As per Hansie Flick’s request: Barcelona targets a world-class striker to succeed Lewandowski

Robert Lewandowski’s chapter at Barcelona is drawing to a close, with the club preparing to part ways with the veteran Polish striker in January. The sporting department wants the separation to be respectful and smooth, acknowledging the important goals he has provided during recent seasons — contributions that helped secure league titles, even if his overall spell wasn’t among the most memorable in Barça’s long history.

At the same time, sporting director Deco has begun working on finding Lewandowski’s successor, following a clear request from manager Hansi Flick. Reports indicate that Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane has emerged as Barcelona’s top target. Flick views him as the ideal profile: an elite, experienced striker who still has the hunger to win major trophies in the later years of his career.

One of the most consistent scorers in world football, Kane is seen as a realistic signing. Rumours claim Bayern could allow him to leave this summer for around €60 million, with potential bonuses reaching an additional €15 million. His age and current contract situation make such a deal achievable for Barcelona.

From a tactical point of view, Flick believes Kane would be a near-perfect replacement for Lewandowski. He offers better technical ability, more mobility, and greater versatility, while still possessing a world-class scoring instinct — traits that make him a reliable option for Barça’s future attacking plans.

With Lewandowski’s departure approaching, Barcelona appears increasingly committed to securing a new forward capable of leading the line and making a major impact in the coming years.
