On playing as a centre-back:
“Centre-back is a role the coach wanted to test me in during pre-season, and it’s a position where I feel very comfortable. Honestly, I don’t favour one role over the other — I’m confident in both. Wherever the coach asks me to play, I’ll be ready.”

On the Champions League and aiming for the top eight:
“We’re in a positive rhythm and want to keep progressing. In the Champions League, we can’t afford to let more points slip. We need to win and stay near the top.”

On his importance within the squad:
“I feel valued in this team, and the coach shows that with the trust he places in me. Even though I’m currently playing as a centre-back, I don’t think of myself strictly as one or the other. Whether it’s full-back or centre-back, I’ll play wherever the coach believes I’m needed.”

On being labeled a ‘working-class football success story’:
“I did see something about that online, but I’m not sure where it originated. I just see myself as a humble kid who works hard — nothing more.”
