Jamie Carragher was left disappointed with one player during the north London derby between Tottenham and Arsenal – and says he has been ‘very poor all season’.
In a contentious first half at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, referee Jarred Gillett issued numerous yellow cards as both teams struggled to capitalize on their chances. Arsenal gained the lead in the 68th minute with a header from Gabriel Magalhaes off a corner.
Despite Tottenham’s efforts to level the score, they failed to do so, allowing Arsenal to secure their ninth away win in ten Premier League matches this year.
During the match, Jamie Carragher expressed frustration on Twitter regarding Tottenham’s Cristian Romero, criticizing his performance for being “very poor” this season. Romero, who had a busy summer with Argentina in the Copa America, including the final against Colombia, has played every minute for Tottenham this season but couldn’t prevent their defeat.
