Shock club registers interest in Mykhailo Mudryk as Chelsea prepare to sell four more players in January

A shock club has registered interest in Mykhailo Mudryk as Chelsea plan to sell more players in January following a summer clear-out.

During the summer transfer window, Chelsea added several players, including Jadon Sancho, Joao Felix, and Pedro Neto. They also sold several players, such as Romelu Lukaku, Hakim Ziyech, and Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The club plans to further reduce its squad when the transfer window reopens in January. According to TEAMtalk, Chelsea aims to offload Mykhailo Mudryk, with a team reportedly interested in a potential transfer away from Stamford Bridge.

The report indicates that Marseille is keen on the 23-year-old, as manager Roberto de Zerbi believes he can help the winger thrive in France. Bayern Munich is still monitoring the former Shakhtar Donetsk player, but their interest has diminished since Thomas Tuchel’s exit.

A loan move seems the most probable outcome for Mudryk in January, as clubs are hesitant to spend heavily mid-season. Chelsea, however, is unlikely to recoup the £88.5 million they paid for the Ukrainian in January 2023. Still, a successful loan could enhance his market value.

Marseille has experience dealing with English clubs, having signed Mason Greenwood, Neal Maupay, and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from the Premier League.

Chelsea is considering selling more players in January to balance their finances, with Mudryk among those on the list. Defenders Axel Disasi, Benoit Badiashile, and Ben Chilwell could also be moved.

Chilwell has attracted interest from Turkey, while Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town are monitoring him. Disasi is reportedly being pursued by clubs in both France and Italy.
