An Iranian Lionel Messi lookalike took to social media to deny claims that he conned 23 women into sleeping with him
Reza Parastesh, known for resembling Lionel Messi, faced allegations from Marca that he pretended to be the football star to deceive women into sleeping with him. Recently, with Messiâs move to MLS reigniting interest in the story, Parastesh took to Instagram to deny these claims.
He stated, âFalse news is spreading about me sleeping with 23 women who thought I was Messi. This damages reputations and is not true. If it were real, Iâd face legal consequences and be in jail now. Iâm committed to clearing my name and fighting this legally.â
Parastesh expressed distress over the harassment he faced, particularly in Muslim countries, and emphasized that the backlash affected both him and his family. Despite the challenges of being a lookalike, he has gained nearly 700,000 followers on Instagram, often sharing images that highlight his resemblance to Messi.
Meanwhile, Messiâs every move attracts massive attention; even simple gym photos can cause a stir. After signing with Inter Miami in 2023, Messi left European football behind, raising questions about whether he will return.
