Liverpool fans are starting to turn on one of Jurgen Klopp’s final signings and want Arne Slot to take action

Some Liverpool fans are not happy with one of Jurgen Klopp’s final signings for the club and have spoken out on social media.

After nine years, Klopp departed Liverpool this summer and was succeeded by Arne Slot. During his tenure, Klopp brought notable players like Alisson Becker, Mohamed Salah, and Sadio Mane to Anfield.

However, one current player, Dominik Szoboszlai, has recently disappointed fans, leading to backlash on social media. Szoboszlai joined Liverpool last July from RB Leipzig for around €70 million, signing a five-year contract.

While he has shown flashes of brilliance, some fans are unhappy with his performance under Slot. One fan expressed frustration on X, stating, “When we signed Szoboszlai, I expected him to add goals to our midfield. He hasn’t, and I’m not sure what he contributes now.”

Another chimed in, saying, “Szoboszlai has been here over a season, yet some still make excuses for him like it’s his first game in the Premier League.” A third fan remarked, “Are there still defenders of Szoboszlai? His playing style is hard to watch.”

Szoboszlai drew attention after Liverpool’s 2-1 victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers, where he missed a significant chance in the first half. He received a great pass from Andrew Robertson but had his close-range shot blocked by Wolves goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.

Fortunately for the midfielder, his teammate Ibrahima Konate scored Liverpool’s first goal, converting a cross from Diogo Jota for his debut Premier League goal.

Wolves defender Ryan Ait-Nouri equalized for the home team, but a penalty from Salah sealed the win for Liverpool.

After the match, Szoboszlai reflected on his missed opportunity with a post on Instagram, saying, “Game of inches, but the most important thing is the 3 points!”
