Florentino called him personally, the new starting full-back after Carvajal’s injury: “We trust you”

The international break has arrived, but activity in the Real Madrid offices is intensifying, particularly following Dani Carvajal’s serious knee injury sustained in the match against Villarreal. Carvajal will miss the remainder of the season, forcing Carlo Ancelotti to make adjustments.

Florentino Pérez has already identified who will step in as the new right-back, with this player having the confidence of both the technical staff and the board. The loss of Carvajal, regarded as one of the best full-backs in the world, is a significant setback for Ancelotti and the team.

According to the Spanish newspaper Defensa Central, after the victory over Villarreal, Ancelotti mentioned in a press conference: “Lucas Vázquez gives us a lot of confidence, and we will discuss this during the international break.”

He added: “The transfer market is closed, and there aren’t many options. We need to manage the team effectively, and with our only full-back right now being Lucas Vázquez, we have to consider who will fill that position.” This indicates that Lucas Vázquez will take on the role of the new full-back, regardless of whether Real Madrid decides to enter the January transfer market, which remains uncertain.

In this context, Real Madrid has entrusted Lucas Vázquez to step in as the right-back, a role that could be crucial for his contract renewal. President Florentino Pérez expressed this confidence to the player by stating, “We have full confidence in you,” which underscores the club’s support and appreciation for Vázquez.
