Leading this chase” – Journalist says Arteta really wants Arsenal to sign this”exceptional” Brazilian star, he’s said to be the Game Changer

Under the direction of Edu and Mikel Arteta, Arsenal is focusing on securing its long-term future and is reportedly interested in one of South America’s most promising talents. They are closely monitoring Vitor Reis, an 18-year-old center-back from Palmeiras, alongside Real Madrid and Chelsea, due to his impressive performances in Brazil, which have attracted attention from top European clubs.

Reports suggest that Edu is spearheading Arsenal’s interest in Reis, although the pursuit hasn’t reached a point where Arteta needs to personally persuade the player to join. With a move to Europe likely, Reis is expected to follow in the footsteps of other Palmeiras players like Endrick (Real Madrid) and Estevao Willian (Chelsea).

In an interview with *GIVEMESPORT*, Jacobs noted that while Arsenal is keen to sign Reis, they are facing tough competition from Chelsea and Real Madrid, both of whom are also interested in the young defender. Edu is reportedly leading the initiative, and while Arteta is involved, no formal offer has been made yet.

Reis, who debuted for Palmeiras earlier this year, has made a strong impact in Brazil’s Serie A with 15 first-team appearances and two goals this season. Football Talent Scout Jacek Kulig has described him as “exceptional.” The versatile defender can play in various positions across the backline, including right-back, making him an appealing option for European teams. Despite a muscle injury sidelining him in August, Reis is expected to continue rising as one of Brazil’s top young talents.
