**‘Total Agreement’ – Fabrizio Romano states that an ‘elite’ striker is expected to join Arsenal on a free transfer next summer**

Despite the summer transfer window just closing, speculation about next year’s market is already heating up. Various reports are emerging about players potentially moving in 2025.

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s possible transfer to Real Madrid is a significant storyline, alongside other top players like Mohamed Salah and Leroy Sane, whose contracts expire at the end of the season.

According to Fabrizio Romano on The Debrief, Jonathan David, whose contract ends next year, is likely to leave for free next summer.

Romano provided insights into the situation, stating, “I don’t think this is a topic for October, November, December, or January. It will be for the second half of the season.” He noted that David will consider multiple factors beyond just financial aspects, such as the project and managerial situation, indicating he won’t rush his decision.

He also mentioned that David’s agent is already in discussions with clubs in England, Italy, and Spain. Romano highlighted that Jonathan David is expected to be one of the most sought-after players in the summer of 2025 and intends to take his time before making a decision, suggesting that this isn’t an immediate concern.

With both Arsenal and Tottenham interested in David, the key question remains which club he will ultimately choose. Romano pointed out that while David’s agent is in contact with various teams, a move to the Premier League could be particularly appealing. Arsenal is actively seeking a new striker, while Tottenham has long admired him. Although Spurs recently signed Dominic Solanke, their need for a striker may arise again if Richarlison moves to Saudi Arabia.

Aston Villa is also reportedly interested in David, providing another potential route for him in the Premier League.

As we look toward 2025, Jonathan David is certainly a player to keep an eye on.
