Man Utd’s third transfer of the summer is ‘almost a done deal’ as medical booked for Tuesday

Manchester United are on the verge of completing their third signing of the summer transfer window as a deal is ‘almost done’.

Manchester United have acquired Leny Yoro from Lille and Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna this summer. Yoro’s transfer cost the Red Devils £58.9 million, while Zirkzee’s fee was £35 million.

Erik ten Hag is on the verge of signing another new player before the start of the 2024/25 season.

According to Santi Aouna, Noussair Mazraoui is set to join Manchester United this summer. Bayern Munich has approved the transfer, and the Dutch-born Moroccan international is expected to travel to England in the coming days.

The report states that if there are no changes, Mazraoui is scheduled to undergo a medical examination next Tuesday. Should he pass the medical, he will be signed by Manchester United until 2029, with an option for an additional year. Erik ten Hag hopes to have Mazraoui available for the Community Shield match against Manchester City on August 10. Mazraoui previously played under Ten Hag at Ajax, along with Andre Onana and Lisandro Martinez.

The 26-year-old made 137 appearances for Ajax before transferring to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022. After two seasons in Germany, a move to Manchester United seems likely. It looks like Manchester United will see one defender join and one leave, as Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set to transfer to West Ham United.

Manchester United are currently on their pre-season tour in the United States. Speaking to the press, Erik ten Hag has expressed a desire for additional signings to enhance squad depth.

Manchester United are nearing their third signing of the summer transfer window, with the deal for Noussair Mazraoui ‘almost complete’. The medical examination is scheduled for Tuesday, and if successful, Mazraoui will sign a contract at Old Trafford until 2029, with an option for an additional year. Erik ten Hag aims to have Mazraoui available for the Community Shield against Manchester City on August 10. Mazraoui, who previously played under Ten Hag at Ajax, is set to move from Bayern Munich after two seasons there.

Additionally, Aaron Wan-Bissaka is expected to leave Manchester United for West Ham United, suggesting a potential one-in, one-out scenario for the defense. While Manchester United are currently on their pre-season tour in the United States, Ten Hag has emphasized the need for more signings to ensure squad depth. He stated that while the club seeks to strengthen all positions, any new additions must align with financial and regulatory constraints.
