SigningLeny Yoro and Zirkzee will not solve our problem, this players are injury prone,What We need is a better defensive Midfielder who can bench Casemiro “, Man United legend Michael Owen reveals the only transfer that He wants Man united to make before window closes

As the summer transfer window nears its end, Michael Owen has stressed a crucial recommendation for Manchester United. The former footballer suggests that the club should focus on acquiring an additional striker to bolster their squad. This advice comes after Manchester United’s significant expenditure of nearly £100 million this summer, aimed at addressing their disappointing eighth-place finish from last season.

Manchester United has already made notable signings, including Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee. Yoro, a promising 18-year-old defender, was purchased from Lille for £52 million. The club outmaneuvered top European teams like Liverpool and Real Madrid to secure him. However, Yoro is currently facing a pre-season injury that may keep him out for up to three months, possibly delaying his return until November. This injury further complicates the club’s efforts to reinforce their defensive lineup.

In contrast, Joshua Zirkzee was acquired from Bologna for £36.5 million. Owen is optimistic about Zirkzee’s potential to become a valuable asset for Manchester United. Nevertheless, he emphasizes the need for the club to seek another striker before the transfer deadline. While acknowledging Zirkzee’s capabilities, Owen believes the team needs an additional forward who can provide consistent goal-scoring.

Owen reflects on Manchester United’s successful history, noting that their past triumphs were often supported by a strong lineup of top strikers. Recently, however, the club has struggled to maintain this attacking depth. He highlights legendary strikers like Ruud van Nistelrooy, Robin van Persie, and Wayne Rooney, who played crucial roles in the club’s success. Owen argues that to achieve similar success now, United must acquire another proven striker to support Zirkzee and ensure a reliable goal-scoring presence.

Owen acknowledges that while Zirkzee’s arrival is a positive development, patience will be crucial. He points out that the current squad, particularly with its injury problems, has limited ability to adapt their attack during games. The manager’s options are restricted, making it important to give Zirkzee time to acclimate. Despite the optimism about his potential, Owen advises that Manchester United should not rely solely on him to solve their attacking issues.

In summary, Owen’s analysis suggests that Manchester United’s management should consider making an additional strategic move in the transfer market. Acquiring another striker would enhance their attacking options and provide the necessary firepower to compete effectively at the highest level this season.
