Barcelona puts the team’s star up for sale in an unexpected surprise

Barcelona is actively working to achieve the necessary financial balance before the summer transfer window closes, aiming to register new deals and contracts. To manage their high salary expenses and facilitate the registration of Dani Olmo, the club has decided to forgo Ilkay Gundogan.

In an unexpected development, Barcelona is reportedly willing to sell Dutch star Frenkie de Jong. According to Spanish newspaper “El Nacional,” Barcelona has offered De Jong to Manchester United and other European clubs at a price between 35 and 40 million euros. This move is part of the club’s strategy to reduce its financial burden, as De Jong’s weekly salary is around £600,000. Despite his strong performance, Barcelona is focused on cutting costs and offloading high-salary contracts. Manchester United, which has shown interest in De Jong before, may be his next destination.
