Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has been handed a significant pace downgrade in EA FC 25, according to leaks, with fans calling the card “unusable”.
The 32-year-old Brazil international, who had a promising start at Old Trafford after transferring from Real Madrid, faced a much tougher second season in the Premier League.
Recently, he’s been criticized by several prominent figures. Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher even suggested he should leave Manchester United this summer. Carragher remarked, “I always remember the saying ‘leave the game before it leaves you.’ The game has left him. At this level, he needs to retire or move on.”
Rene Meulensteen, a former first-team coach under Sir Alex Ferguson, also argued that the player no longer has the physical attributes to excel in England’s top division.
Despite strong speculation about a lucrative transfer to the Saudi Pro League this summer, it seems the midfielder will remain at United after impressing Erik ten Hag during pre-season.
On a related note, EA Sports has significantly downgraded his pace in FC 25, according to FUT trader Donk. His 84-rated card now shows a dramatic -5 downgrade from his previous FC 24 rating.
His stats in pace, shooting, passing, dribbling, defending, and physicality have all declined. Notably, his pace has dropped from 63 to 38 in just a year.
Fans have reacted strongly to this downgrade. One said, “This is the worst downgrade I’ve ever seen,” while another remarked, “No amount of chemistry can make him usable; I don’t think any Evolution can make him usable.”
Another fan questioned, “38 pace? Does that mean he’ll just walk even when sprinting?” Another added, “Not surprised at all. Had a poor season,” and a fifth commented, “I know he was bad, but that’s a criminal downgrade.”
To put it in perspective, former Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker had a higher pace rating of 39 in FIFA 12.
