Barcelona is working to resolve its financial issues to finalize one or two major signings for the upcoming season. The club has already secured the acquisition of Dani Olmo, a star midfielder from Spain and RB Leipzig, although his registration is pending due to salary cap constraints. Barcelona will need to sell additional players to address this.
In an unexpected development, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that Federico Chiesa, the Juventus star, is on the brink of joining Barcelona this summer. Romano revealed on X that Barcelona and Chiesa have agreed on personal terms for a contract running until the summer of 2027, with Chiesa set to earn €4 million annually plus €2 million in bonuses.
Barcelona is preparing to offer Juventus €10 million plus €3 million in bonuses for Chiesa. Juventus, however, is aiming for around €15 million, as Chiesa is not in the plans of Juve’s technical director Thiago Motta. Chiesa has reportedly agreed to a salary reduction to make the move to Barcelona, confident he will regain his top form under coach Hans Flick.
