Alonso denies Hansi Flick a big deal because of Perez

With less than two days remaining until the summer transfer window closes, Real Madrid has no plans to bring in new players. However, their main rivals, Barcelona, are keen on making a signing before the window shuts. Barcelona’s transfer activity in the summer of 2024 has been disappointing so far, especially after Nico Williams opted to stay at the new San Mamés. Despite this, under Joan Laporta’s leadership, the club has managed to secure Dani Olmo.

According to the Spanish newspaper Defensa Central, Barcelona is targeting Jonathan Tah, a 28-year-old German center-back. Although Tah has lost his starting position under coach Xabi Alonso, he remains a top player for his club. The newspaper notes that if Alonso resists letting Tah go, Barcelona could face a setback in strengthening their defense, as their current defensive options are not performing as expected.

This new interest in Tah highlights Barcelona’s need to reinforce their defense, but the club’s financial struggles could pose a significant barrier to finalizing the transfer.
