Lewandowski asks Flick this and compares Xavi’s style to Flick’s

Polish star Robert Lewandowski, Barcelona’s leading striker, made significant remarks about his ambitions for the season and his expectations from coach Hansi Flick. In an interview with the Spanish newspaper “Sport,” Lewandowski discussed his goal to exceed his previous tally of over 30 goals, possibly aiming for 35, depending on the team’s support. He noted that he has adjusted his mindset this season to regain his previous strength and is committed to giving his best.

Regarding promises to Barcelona fans, Lewandowski stated that the team aims to play a more attacking style, score more goals, and concede fewer. He also highlighted the contrast between Xavi’s and Flick’s approaches, noting that Flick emphasizes a more aggressive attacking strategy.

The Barcelona striker remarked, “There is a noticeable difference; we didn’t play a match like this one last season.” He added, “From the start, Flick emphasized his desire to build an attacking team that generates chances, scores frequently, and applies strong pressure.”

The Catalan star further noted, “We’ve started off well; sometimes we falter, and other times things go smoothly, but the season is long and much can still happen.”
