A Fantasy football expert has named one shock player as an essential asset in FPL next week, labelling them as a must-have.
Fantasy football made its return last month with the Premier League kicking off after major summer tournaments like Euro 2024 and Copa America. With the first international break approaching, FPL managers are eager for fresh insights.
FPL expert Andy from LetsTalkFPL recently shared a tip for Gameweek 4, highlighting Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes as a key player to consider. On social media, he compared Fernandes’ importance to that of Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah in previous weeks, suggesting that going without Fernandes in Gameweek 4 would be a mistake.
Fernandes has had a modest start to the season, earning only seven points in three matches. Manchester United has been underwhelming, with two losses following a narrow 1-0 victory in their opener. Despite an expected goal statistic of 1.3, Fernandes has yet to score or assist, leaving many FPL managers disappointed. His performance has led to a drop in his value by 0.1m, as many have transferred him out of their fantasy teams.
In contrast, Haaland and Salah, who Andy also highlighted as essential in earlier gameweeks, have each amassed 41 points, underscoring their status as the most expensive players in FPL. Last week, they delivered impressive performances: Haaland scored a hat-trick against West Ham United, and Salah netted a goal and provided two assists against Manchester United at Old Trafford, earning 17 points each.
Reacting to Andy’s X post, popular British YouTuber and FPL enthusiast KSI remarked, “It’s mad to go without Bruno Fernandes.”
