Only one condition separates Barcelona from signing the French national team player for free

Barcelona officials, led by Joan Laporta, are nearing a deal to acquire a French national team star during the summer transfer window of 2024. The Catalan club aims to bolster its squad by targeting players whose contracts have expired, a strategy driven by their ongoing financial difficulties and inability to afford substantial transfers. According to the Spanish newspaper “Sport,” Barcelona is particularly interested in signing Adrien Rabiot from Juventus this summer.

The newspaper noted that the main obstacle to Adrien Rabiot’s transfer is the annual salary of 10 million euros requested by his agent and mother, a figure Barcelona has declined to meet. Barcelona is now working to negotiate a lower salary with Rabiot to finalize the deal soon and strengthen the team.

The report also mentioned that Rabiot’s contract with Juventus has expired, and he has not yet renewed it. As a result, he is in discussions with multiple clubs, including Barcelona, Al-Nassr, and Manchester United.
