Al-Khelaifi has been negotiating with the player’s agents for 4 months to transfer the player from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain

Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s interest in Barcelona players is a long-standing trend. Paris Saint-Germain has previously targeted many stars from the Catalan club, successfully acquiring notable names like Neymar Jr., Xavi Simons, Leo Messi, and Ousmane Dembele.

However, PSG’s ambitions extend beyond these signings, as Al-Khelaifi aims to secure a key player from Barcelona. According to Spanish newspaper El Nacional, PSG is now focusing on Jules Kounde, a player Hansi Flick deems essential.

Kounde, who has the versatility to play as both a right-back and a central defender, has caught the attention of Luis Enrique, who believes he would enhance the team’s defense.

He could also serve as a potential replacement for Achraf Hakimi, whose contract lasts until 2026, hinting at a possible transfer next summer. Additionally, PSG may lose Marquinhos and Milan Skriniar to Saudi clubs, while concerns grow over Lucas Beraldo’s commitment and Lucas Hernandez’s ongoing injury.

In this context, Kounde has emerged as a key target for Nasser Al-Khelaifi, with negotiations between PSG and his representatives starting four months ago. Despite this, Kounde has not commented on his future at Barcelona, choosing instead to focus on his performance and development.

Joan Laporta and Deco are worried, as Luis Enrique represents a significant threat to Barcelona’s chances of keeping Kounde. His transfer to Paris would be a major shock, even greater than Neymar’s departure.
