Modric recommends Perez to sign him: This player will be the best alternative for me at Real Madrid

Real Madrid and Manchester United are vying for one of European football’s most promising talents as Madrid aims to secure top international players for its future competitiveness. The team is set to face Espanyol tomorrow in La Liga, currently sitting second with 11 points, four behind Barcelona.

Recently, “Defensa Central” reported that Luka Modric recommended young Croatian player Martin Baturina to club president Florentino Perez. Baturina has shown significant progress, drawing interest from top clubs across Europe.

According to the German outlet “Germaniak,” Manchester United is also keeping a close eye on Baturina, having sent scouts to observe him during his recent matches against Poland and Portugal in the Nations League. Despite Modric’s endorsement, United is now in the mix for the 21-year-old, who is under contract with Dinamo Zagreb until June 2028. The expected transfer fee is around €15-18 million, though competition may drive the price up.

In Madrid, thanks to Modric’s recommendation—who views the young player as his ideal successor—there is keen interest in Martin Baturina’s future. With rising interest from major clubs, it appears likely that he will depart Dinamo Zagreb next summer. It remains to be seen if Real Madrid will take the lead in pursuing his signature.
