Jurgen Klopp has been tipped to make a shock return to football management after leaving Liverpool at the end of last season.
Jürgen Klopp stepped down as manager of Liverpool after nine years, announcing his decision in January due to feeling drained.
He concluded his tenure with a victory against Wolves in May and has been enjoying time off with his wife, Ulla, and family.
Although he returned briefly for a testimonial match for Lukasz Piszczek and Jakub Blaszczykowski, Klopp is now being linked to Inter Milan.
Inter’s current manager, Simone Inzaghi, is considered a top candidate to replace Erik ten Hag at Manchester United if they decide to part ways due to a poor start to the season.
InterLive, via TEAMtalk, reports that the club is aware of interest in Inzaghi and has plans for a potential transition. Klopp is viewed as their preferred choice to succeed Inzaghi, as they believe securing him would be easier than bringing back former player Diego Simeone, who is still with Atlético Madrid.
Jürgen Klopp has been linked to several potential positions, including the USMNT, Barcelona, and the German national team. However, after purchasing a new mansion in Germany’s version of ‘Beverly Hills,’ he doesn’t seem to be planning a return to management anytime soon.
When he announced his departure from Liverpool, Klopp made it clear that he intended to take at least a year off. He stated, “If you ask me, ‘Will you ever manage again?’ I’d say no for now. But I can’t predict how I’ll feel later since I’ve never been in this situation. What I can say for sure is that I will never manage another club in England besides Liverpool.
As for whether I will work again, I know I can’t just sit idle. I’ll likely find something else to do, but I won’t be managing any club or country for at least a year. That’s not possible, and it’s not what I want.”
