Fans are going to be overjoyed since Liverpool is going to be classified as a “elite” club thanks to a profitable deal for £75 million.

Liverpool are set to change their kit supplier from Nike to Adidas from next season in a five-year deal which could be worth £75m per annum, joining Manchester United and Arsenal.

Liverpool has been collaborating with their current manufacturer since the 2020/21 season, reportedly earning £60 million annually from the American brand. However, this partnership is set to conclude next year. According to recent reports from FootyHeadlines, the 19-time English champions will be reuniting with Adidas starting in the 2025/26 season, marking a return to a partnership that last existed in the 2011/12 season.

FootyHeadlines also states that Liverpool will receive “elite team” status, positioning them as a top-tier client for Adidas. The club is expected to sign a five-year deal with the German sportswear company, generating £75 million per year from the new agreement.

While club sources have remained tight-lipped about the details, the announcement from Adidas is anticipated early next year, sparking nostalgia and excitement among Liverpool fans as the brand returns.

Manchester United and Arsenal currently enjoy ‘elite team’ status with Adidas, and Newcastle United is reportedly set to join Liverpool in this tier next season. Given Liverpool’s performance over the past decade compared to these clubs, many fans believe they deserve even higher recognition than just ‘elite’ status.

Liverpool supporters are already celebrating the anticipated return to Adidas, known for producing some of the club’s most iconic kits, including the memorable grey away shirt from the 2008/09 season, the quartered green-and-white design from 1995/96, and the Candy-sponsored jerseys from the late 80s and early 90s.

Additionally, the extra £15 million from this new deal is a welcome boost. As one of the most iconic football clubs globally, Liverpool is set to receive the recognition and resources they truly deserve.
