šŸ”„šŸŸļøBREAKING NEWS: Arsenal Sporting Director Edu Gasper has revealed that a former Arsenal striker is eager to make a return to the club this January

Mika Biereth, a striker for Sturm Graz, has shown interest in potentially returning to Arsenal, the club he left last summer. The 20-year-old Danish forward struggled to find his place at Arsenal but remains hopeful about donning the Gunnersā€™ jersey again.

Biereth joined Arsenal from Fulham in 2021, but his time there was challenging. He found it difficult to break into Mikel Artetaā€™s first team and was loaned out multiple times to gain experience, including stints at RKC Waalwijk in the Netherlands and Motherwell in Scotland, before landing at Sturm Graz, where he has performed well enough to earn a permanent contract.

In a recent interview with TV2, Biereth discussed his time at Sturm Graz and his aspirations. He expressed contentment with his current situation, stating, ā€œThings are going well here; I have no complaints. Iā€™m playing regularly and competing in the Champions League, where Iā€™m eager to score my first goal.ā€

While focused on his current club, Biereth acknowledged that he would welcome a return to the Premier League, especially Arsenal, if the opportunity arises. He stressed that his main priority is to excel at Sturm Graz for now, saying, ā€œIf I keep performing well and scoring, maybe an opportunity will arise. But right now, my priority is to excel at Sturm Graz. A return to Arsenal would be fantastic, but itā€™s not my immediate focus.ā€

His comments indicate that while he dreams of rejoining Arsenal, he does not expect it to happen soon. The likelihood of his return remains uncertain, as Mikel Arteta is confident in his current attacking options, including Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, and Leandro Trossard, which influenced Arsenal’s decision not to pursue a new striker in the last transfer window, despite links to high-profile forwards like Alexander Isak.

There are ongoing discussions about Gabriel Jesusā€™ long-term future due to his injury issues, which might create future opportunities for Arsenal to explore additional forward options. However, for now, the club is not actively seeking a new striker.

While Bierethā€™s return to Arsenal isn’t imminent, his strong performances at Sturm Graz and future developments at the Emirates could pave the way for a comeback. If he continues to excel and develop, Arsenal may take notice, and he could eventually find himself back in North London, ready to contribute to the team. For now, though, he remains focused on enhancing his game in Austria.
