Hansi Flick wants the duo next season, they will arrive at Barcelona for free

Hansi Flick has outlined a strategy to enhance Barcelona’s squad for next season, targeting two players who could join for free.

Currently, Barcelona tops the La Liga standings with eight wins and just one loss, accumulating 24 points—three ahead of Real Madrid. According to the Spanish outlet El Nacional, the German coach has identified Leroy Sané and Jonathan Tah as key targets, both set to become free agents next summer.

This initiative has received the endorsement of Deco, the club’s sporting director, who has authorized moves to expedite negotiations with the players.

Leroy Sané’s situation is particularly noteworthy; the Bayern Munich winger has struggled to maintain consistent form, making a transfer more likely. With his contract nearing expiration and limited opportunities under Vincent Kompany, a reunion with Flick at Barcelona appears promising. Sané, who thrived under Flick with the national team, could be a crucial addition to Barcelona’s attack, providing speed and goal-scoring ability.

Similarly, Jonathan Tah, familiar to Flick from their time with the German national team, has declared he will not extend his contract with Bayer Leverkusen, attracting interest from several European clubs. However, Barcelona seems well-positioned to acquire him. Tah’s physicality and Bundesliga experience would strengthen a defense that has faced challenges this season.

Both players joining without a transfer fee is a significant benefit for Barcelona, which is still managing financial limitations. Deco is aware that both Sané and Tah are ready for the transfer market.

With their high-level experience, both players could quickly adapt to Flick’s tactics. Additionally, Flick’s prior connections with them could ease their transition to Camp Nou.

If Barcelona successfully brings in these two players, it could substantially enhance the squad’s quality, particularly in areas Flick has prioritized.
